TYPE: Aquarius Orange
DATE: A.D. 1000 - 1400 (NAU Online Ceramic Manual 2001)
KEY DIFFERENCES: Exteriors are more orange than gray although interiors are usually light gray. Prescott Gray is more gray than orange but may have orange "fire clouds".
SLIP OR SURFACE TREATMENT: Not slipped, lightly wiped and/or scraped.
TEMPER: Usually finer than Prescott Gray, may have a little or a lot of fine mica particles showing on the surface.
COMMENTS: This type may be considered Gila Plain, Prescott Variety.
